1. Pad / Cushioning Material Specification

Primary use would be on packages with an exposed die. The edges and corners of the die can be damaged if the heat sink is not level when installed. The pads can be installed on the heat sink or the device's substrate. The pad material will cushion the heat sink and keep it level while the push pins, screws, or clips are installed.

2. Intake Cover Specification

Intake covers can be used with active heatsinks, when the airflow direction is set to pull. The intake cover will prevent air from short circuiting the hottest section at the base of the fins. The spacer will eliminate the dead zone created by the center fan hub. A negative pressure area will be created in the spacer region, allowing airflow through the dead zone and improve performance.
